Our Alumni Network

As a fairly new program we are still building our alumni network! Our alumni are very important to us because they helped build this program. Listed below are some of our most notable alumni!

Alejando Garcia came to CSC as a junior-college transfer in the Fall of 2014. From there, Alejandro had 3 very successful years with CSC XC. In cross country, both of his personal bests came in his senior season, in 2016, with times of 24:31 for 8k and 31:44 for 10k. He was the first Division II Cross Country Individual National Qualifier for Chadron State College. While at the meet Alejandro was presented with the prestigious Elite 90 award, which goes to the individual with the highest GPA in his/her sport. During his senior season (2016) at CSC he was 11th in the RMAC Meet and 21st in the South Central Regional Meet.

On the track side, Alejandro was also very successful with personal bests in the 10k (31:06 in 2016), 5k (14:29.5 in 2017), Mile (4:24 2016), 1500 (3:51.10 in 2017), and 3k (8:30.25 2016). He was 3rd at the 2017 Outdoor RMAC meet and qualified for Division II Nationals in the 1500 where he placed 12th.

Ashley was one of the team leaders when the program started in Fall of 2012. She helped lead the team in 2013 and 2014 with personal bests in the 5k (19:04.7) and the 6k (22:39). She ran her personal bests both in 2013.

On the track side, Ashley was a national qualifier in the mile (indoor) and ran a personal best in the event (4:59) and in the 1500 outdoor with a personal best in that event as well (4:32). She qualified in both events in 2014.
